Jane Malone & Chamberlain Park

PROJECT TYPE: Short documentary
CLIENT: Partner Tulsa

This short documentary explores the life and legacy of Jane A. Malone, a lifelong community advocate whose work helped shape North Tulsa into a more equitable and empowered place. Known for her decades of leadership and unwavering commitment to neighborhood development, Malone fought to preserve community spaces, improve local schools, and ensure that underserved residents had a voice in city decisions.

The film captures Malone’s role as a tireless organizer and a bridge-builder across generations. Her advocacy was instrumental in saving and revitalizing local institutions—most notably efforts that led to the preservation of the now called Jane A. Malone Recreation Center at Chamberlain Park that serves as a vital Community Center for youth and families.

At its core, the documentary is not just a portrait of one woman, but a reflection on community, activism, and the enduring impact of grassroots leadership in shaping the future of a city.
